From August 26 to 30, 2024, a joint workshop was held at Content Korea Lab Jeju for film students from Japan and Korea. The workshop aimed to promote human resource exchange and enhance the film culture and industry between the two countries. Through collaboration, the goal was to explore international co-production while fostering trust among young creators and contributing to the development of a rich Asian cultural landscape.
Prior to the workshop, 12 students researched the myths of Jeju Island and submitted character sketches. Upon arrival, students were organized into teams of four, with two students from Japan and two from Korea in each team. On the second day, after two lecture sessions—one by a Jeju mythology writer and another by an animation director—each team planned their project. On the morning of the third day, three teams presented their project plans, and during the final presentation on the evening of the fourth day, each team showcased a four-cut animation.
